Salman Khan is in trouble once again. He was sentenced a one-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 5,000. He will appeal in higher courts of law, which means that he won’t go to jail because it will be a long, long time before the higher courts reach to a decision.
“We will appeal in the High Court and he will get bail,” said Vikas Kapoor, Salman Khan’s secretary.
So, what this means is that Salman won’t get punished for killing two chinkaras, and a deer species, which is considered a crime. Oh wait, he will, he has to pay a fine of Rs. 5,000, which he can dish out of the change compartments of his car(s).
People get punished for much pettier crimes in a much harsher and severe way. Then, why not Salman? Because he is a star? Pardon me, not just a star, but a superstar with a hue fan following. So what?
I just wish the court system was a little fairer. It’s not that I want Salman to suffer or am against him but if he’s wrong and has committed a crime, he should get punished for it.

To add to that…. the section under which Salman has been charged with provides for maximum of 5 or 7 years punishment, I think, but only one year has been provided for him.

You guys are talking about fair….I will tell you a few things about the case:
1) It is a 1998 case..so a guy living in mumbai had to visit jodhpur almost every 3 months for 8 yrs….this is more than 1 yr of punishment. The punishment should have come at most in 2yrs. People will say that he was excused of personal appearence but that was only for some time
2) The reason he was punsihed was not law but politics. It was to appease the bhishnoi community which wanted some action to be taken in the case and is a large vote bank. Every bodey except salman was let scott free, not even a fine was imposed. They probably didn’t shoot the animal but they were sure part of hunt. I am not against punishing wrong guys but am sure against punishing them for the the wrong reasons.
I am not a Salman Khan fan or something and i am not saying that that he should be let free or something but then this punishment is far from fair. Salman has got a raw deal and Law of the land has got a raw deal.

no emprisonment for salman khan!!!!!!!!!it is that everybody wish to him!he is a very good actor. I am feeling sorry for him!I am so sad!!!!!But i anm still waiting his forthcoming movies:jaaneman,salam and ishq,saawan,babul. And i hope that he will make them!!!!Bollywoood without Salman is not bollywood!!!!!!!
I don’t think that he should be punished for killing one or two animal’s becouse he allready regreted his punishement, he apologised, paid and he suffered this is punishement for him i think that too much, and anyway’s he is a human being and as a human we all make misstakes and and we do get the punishement for it. and as a human being he should get second chance,

all those who are in favor of dear mr. salman khan, tomorrow if something like this happens with people you care about, and they are put behind bars for commiting such a crime within a month of case being reported, i am sure you will raise your voice against this and call it to be total injustice. you will compare the case with dear mr. salman khan and criticise indian law for being biased. so i strongly support that he shoudl get maximum punishment for commiting this crime. today if he is left, other will follow him under the impression that even they will get away w/o any punishment. and for his apologies they are just to fool the public, had he realised his mistake he would not have committed it thrice
