Today, at school, I said ‘touch wood’ and touched the wood (intentionally) a number of times. And it surprised me to notice how superstitious I am. I make sure that I do the ‘touch wood’ charm everytime I say or think of something that I don’t want to happen. It assures me that everything is and will always be fine, as long as I keep doing it. I feel relieved after doing this little ritual kind of thing when I hassle and run to look for wood. I love it and am proud of believing in it.
So, do you believe in ‘touch wood’? Let’s hear from you…

Yeah, I also say ‘Touch Wood’ a lot of times. But, instead of touching wood, I touch somebody’s head (’coz more often than not it is filled with bhusa i.e. hay)
So, no need in looking for wooden objects nearby..
hey….Manpreet said the exact same thing that I wanted to write….anyways…I saw touch wood too but I touch the person’s head who is right next to me….i use it more like a funny gesture than anything else…I use the phrase mostly for the same reason and also when a friend and I say samething at the sametime….
Manpreet - lol…yeah, heard about touch head too
Suneel - yup, it’s so reassuring huh?

Abhi - really? Wow…well, at least you learned something new.
