Is it worth it?

17 November 2004 One Comment

College essays, scholarships, applications, interviews…phew! At present, I am getting ready to submit my applications etc. to colleges. The deadlines are coming closer and there is way too much to do. On top of all these college things, there’s school work, homework and numerous tests. This time of my senior year is B-U-S-Y!! I go to sleep late and wake up early in the morning. I am working so much to get into a well-reputed college and the scariest thing is that, inspite of working so hard, admission into a good college isn’t guaranteed! Now the question is: Is it worth it?
Who says you can’t become a top Journalist if you don’t go to Stanford or Cal? If I have talent, I can work my way up without even graduating from high school. Then why am I doing all this? As much as I try, I can’t change my psychology about how I won’t get a job if I don’t graduate from a known university. The truth is that, I don’t want to take a risk. I want to play it safe. I have big dreams for my career and I am not going to let them be crushed, no way!! So, now that I have motivated myself enough, I better get back to working on my college essay… ;)
Au revoir…

P.S. – Wish me luck!!
